I only took pictures of half of them, I forgot the other half. But there *were* 14.

School's Out!
But before it was over I took this picture of half of the teacher washcloths, wrapped around a nice organic soap.
One of my daughters is autistic, and she has some simply amazing teachers, aides, and therapists at school. So each one, plus both of my other daughter's great teachers, got a hand knitted wash cloth in appreciation of all their hard work this year.

Is it dead yet?
So today I am dyeing some wool yarn for embellishments.
My kitchen looks like this:
Jars of dye everywhere. The whole time I'm working on these, the following conversation is going on between me and my son (who is 4)
DS: What're you doing?
Me: I'm dyeing yarn.
DS: What are you doing now?
Me: Dyeing yarn. I'm trying to make skin color.
DS: What are you doing now?
Me: Still dyeing yarn.
etc...
I have discovered that this kid size spaghetti server is the perfect tool for jar yarn dyeing. DS is not too happy about that, but he got over it.
I had the HARDEST time trying to make skin color. It was always too orange, too pink, too dark, too something. I was about to give up and settle on the lightest pinky one I had when I sat down to rest and it came to me...
Tea!
Perfect!
So then later DS comes in and sees all my hanks laying out to dry and he says:
"Are these dead now?"
*scratches head*
"Did you die them?"
*ROTFLMAO*

I confess...
I haven't been posting on my blog because I cannot top the brain. That is seriously the coolest, weirdest thing I've ever seen.
But, I can't hold up the blog forever.
What do you see?
What I see is all the ends I have to weave in...
These are what's left of the teacher gifts. I've given a few of them already. In case you're wondering why we have so many, it's because DD2 has so many teachers, aids, assistants, and therapists, and we love them all SO much and really want to thank them.
Now I need to go get the soaps that go inside and put them together.

Dolores
If you're a reader of the Panopticon, go check out today's entry. (And if you're not a reader you should be, very entertaining.) Franklin was especially funny today. Apparently he has incurred the wrath of crafters.
